John Peters
John Peters is from Middlesex. His first foray into radio came in in 1974 at a closed-circuit radio station for the United Biscuits factories, before moving on to be the first voice on Nottingham’s Radio Trent and, in time, its oldies counterpart. John launched another East Midlands station as he hosted the breakfast show on its Saga Radio station.
John loves cars – and technology, often to be found in his workshop with a soldering iron.
Kick-start the weekend with John's Friday Fandango in the evening from 6.00. On Saturday afternoons at 4.00, revel in three hours of great music in the soda bar with John's Jukebox, featuring some offerings for his 1950s Treasury of Hits.
Then - on Sunday lunchtime at 12.00 - enjoy one of the biggest Boom shows of the week - with two full hours of Vintage Charts from one of the best years of your life.
