Boom Radio, the independent radio station for baby boomers launched in 2021 by veteran DJs broadcasting from their bedrooms, lofts and garden sheds, now has 697,000 weekly listeners* - up 16% on the comparable period (Q1) last year.
The amount of total listening to Boom now adds up to 9.6m hours - a record high - up 27% on the last published figures and 35% up on the previous year.
According to the latest independent audience figures published by Rajar, Boom Radio now also has more target listeners (aged over 55) than ever before - with a record 559,000 tuning in each week* – up 24% on the same period last year.
Boom Radio listeners overall are the most loyal of all national radio fans - tuning in for an average of 13.7 hours per week*, with those aged over 55 listening for an incredible 16.4 hours each.
Over a month, Rajar predicts the station reaches over a million adult listeners (1.1m)
