Paul's radio career began in commercial radio in Nottingham, before ten years at the BBC where his weekly nostalgia programme delivered record audiences.

Paul's knowledge of music is renowned, with his uncanny recall of tracks from across the decades. In conjunction with each of the presenters on their programmes, he is the brains and love behind the co-ordination of all the music you hear on Boom.

When prised from his treasure trove of music, Paul enjoys old TV, walking, dining out rather too much and enjoying French wines.
