Peter Quinn

Peter’s radio career began at factory radio, then moving to help launch UK commercial radio in Nottingham in 1975.
His radio style was influenced by listening in to the excitement of American radio stations – and he’s still as passionate about the medium as he was 50 years ago.
Peter has since appeared on many stations - including Radio Caroline in the '80s, Beacon Radio, TFM, Southern FM in Sussex, Smooth Radio and the BBC. He’s also been heard elsewhere around the world – including on the Voice of Peace, the offshore radio station which broadcast to the Middle East.
Peter now lives near Brighton.
These days, when he’s not on the air, you can see him up to interesting things with his Ventriloquinn – a ventriloquist show. Unlike Peter Brough's Archie Andrews on the famous 1950s radio show, you do get to actually see both Peter Quinn and his friend Charles.
Peter hosts the Boom Vintage Charts at midday on Sunday lunchtimes - two hours and two charts from two bygone years.
