The Boom Christmas Countdown 2025
The very first Christmas song ever recorded? That was actually Jingle Bells, played on the banjo by a chap called Will Lyle (his real name was William B. Lomas) back in 1889 for Edison Records. Since then, things have rather snowballed.
Experts reckon there are now over 1 million different Christmas songs recorded, with Silent Night leading the way with more than 137,000 versions and White Christmas not far behind with over 128,000!
