Whilst Boom Radio itself serves much of the UK on DAB+, Boom Light only broadcasts currently to several major cities.

Boom Light broadcasts on DAB+ to many major cities including London, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Nottingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Poole

Just scroll through the list of stations and find us under 'B' for Boom - you don't need any numbers or frequencies.

If you have difficulties in finding us on DAB, the below may help.

Alternatively just ask your Alexa or Google speaker to 'Play Boom Light' or downoad our Boom Radio UK app yo yoru phone or tablet.

 

  ARE YOU IN OUR BOOM LIGHT DAB+ AREA?

We are delighted to have been able to start DAB+ broadcasts for Boom Light. Whilst we'd love to be heard everywhere, we're currently assessing the popularity of the channel before we make further plans, so there's currently no timescale. If your area is not yet on our list - please bear with us and tune in using a different method.

  IS YOUR RADIO AN OLDER SET?

Boom uses the newer DAB+ technology which some older DAB sets may not receive. They may display our name but annoyingly still not play our station!

New DAB+ sets are now available at affordable prices, delivering a wide range of stations. Check the one you buy is DAB+ compatible - look out for the green tick mark.  All new cars sold are now equipped with DAB+.

POOR DAB RECEPTION?

If you're listening at home in one of the cities mentioned, try moving your radio to another position, near a window or extending the aerial and pointing it in another direction.

Weather conditions sometimes affect the signal temporarily, as may the use of other electrical devices nearby.

If you are on the move in the cities covered, the signal strength may also depend on the sensitivity of your car radio and your direction of travel.

Some radios need a quick refresh. Just press ‘scan/auto-scan’ or ‘search/auto-tune’ on your radio, then see us on the list.
